Okay. So what I'm gonna do, to save us both time, is just ask a few questions I've been wanting the answer to in no specific order. I apologize for the length, but I would appreciate an answer. I'd appreciate it so much that the best answer will get ten points. If a question has an indefinite answer, either put your opinion, or put the general answer. Here we go.
1) What is the best bait for bluegill?
2) What is the best bait for Bass(Largemouth)?
3) What is the best bait for trout when using a regular fishing method and pole as opposed to fly fishing?
4) What is the best bait for catfish? (I know this one is very difficult, so go with your personal experience)
5) If, for any of these species of fish, live bait is considerably more productive, regardless of the type of live bait, where would I purchase it?
6) What type of crickets are better for fishing? Field Crickets (Wild) or feeder crickets (that you buy for pets)
7) What weight test line is appropriate for bluegill?
What weight test line is appropriate for Bass(Largemouth)?
9) What weight test line is appropriate for Trout?
10) What weight of test line is appropriate for Catfish?
11) What bait and weight test line is appropriate for Steelhead?
12) Personally speaking, do you prefer to kill your fish or let them die while attached to a stringer? I know it's illegal to transport any fish home alive, even if you're going to kill them.
13) What kind of live worms (excluding grubs) are best, generally speaking, for a broad range of fish? Red wigglers, night crawlers, etc.
FINAL NOTE: I'm in California, region 4 according to CA DFG's website. Central california. I know the answers to some of these questions vary with location, so once again, my location is Central California.
Thank you so so much in advance.
Hi in the trout and salmon fishing report there is a prize give away of a hardy perfect 2 5/8 reel if you can name the lake/river in the pictures they give you ,i want to know what is the name of the river/lake featured in the pictures.
Thanks Jack M
I was just wondering if anyone did that. Because there's this good trout stream where I live, where people fish and the DNR stock trout there, but I don't have waders and they're kind've expensive. So I was wondering if there's people out there that fish for (brown) trout from shore?
