What color flashers should I used for salmon?

I'm starting salmon fishing, I was wondering what colors should I use on my flashers? Or what color you recommend and what flashers you recommend too. Thanks.
Also, what kind of lure and what color of lure? And, does it matter if the lure color matches the flasher?

Is it good to freeze a whole salmon?

I'm going salmon fishing/camping for 3 days and will only have a cooler full of ice (that I can refill with fresh ice). Will it be ok to keep the whole salmons I catch in the cooler? Or should I gut them and de-head them?
