The fish is light grey to silver to whitish and they travel in a small school about 10. I'm guessing they are steelhead because we found a big dead stealhead a couple years back in the pond. There is a small tributary in our pond leading to a creek which leades into the Grand River and then on into Lake Michigan. The tributary is only a tributary when the water is high, its just a swamp. Every year I fish for steelhead in the creek and catch then but ive only found that one in the pond. the fish has one single dorsal fin on its back. One morning I caught the fish feeding and they came up to the surface of the pond and it looked like a whale coming up for air except much smaller. They are all about the same size, none longer that 15 inches. I'm hoping to find out what this fish might be so I can start catching some. The pond also has bass, catfish, bluegills and sunfish.
