I was just wondering if anyone did that. Because there's this good trout stream where I live, where people fish and the DNR stock trout there, but I don't have waders and they're kind've expensive. So I was wondering if there's people out there that fish for (brown) trout from shore?
its gonna be my first fall this year coming up that i am gonna try salmon fishing for kings, steelheads and brown trout in the Lake Ontario tribs. I need some tips like what kind of rod to get, line, rigs, and lures/baits.
The bodies of water that ill be fishing is the oak orchard creek, genesee river gorge, and the Salmon river... if you know any those bodies of water help me out with some good locations for the oak and salmon river would be helpful.
oh and i know that steelhead take egg sack patterns and i could use spoons and spinners, but what else, and how would i rig the egg sack
Hi, up until now ive been a trout fisherman mostly, fishing small streams with small trout. But this fall i really want to try out salmon fishing in the Lake Ontario tribs. But i really dont know where to start gear wise. I know where to go but dont know what ill need.
I need tips from what kind of rod (not fly fishing) to the line, rigs, lures/baits.. everything basically.
Oh and the spawn runs include King Salmon mostly, but also Brown Trout and late steelhead runs.
Hi, im going fishing for brown trout in my local creek that has just been stocked (12"-15"). The creek itself is about 20-30 feet wide, and between 1-2 feet deep, but currently a little deeper from the recent rainfall, and is pretty slow flowing. What type of lure should i use for them, spinners and what else?
