What are the current fly fishing conditions in Yosemite valley?

We will be camping in Lower Pines this coming weekend (Aug 22-23) and I would like to do some fly fishing on the Merced river near camp. Is it worth it? If so, any advice?
Worth it? Yes. Beautiful river, spectacular scenery. Will you catch anything? Possibly.
Get out EARLY, as there are mobs of people in Yosemite Valley, and by mid-morning there will be too many people around spooking everything in sight.
As for specifics, check with a tackle shop outside the park as you head in. (The park shops may sell fishing stuff, but they aren’t run by fishermen.)
